Geotechnical and materials investigation for design of proposed upgrade of Katunguru – Ishasha 88km road to bituminous standard. The scope involved geotechnical studies through trial pitting, dynamic cone penetrometer testing and subgrade soil sampling for laboratory testing. Materials investigations studies through materials sourcing (borrow materials, quarry (rock and sand) and water), field density tests and sampling for laboratory testing.
