The building site is located at Kyambogo along the Kampala-Jinja Highway at the eastern outskirts of Kampala City approximately 6km from the city center.

Alpha was commissioned by ICS to carry out preliminary geotechnical investigations.

Services included:

• Core drilling and logging of 4 boreholes to a minimum of 10 meters each, in-situ soil strength testing (SPT), recovery of both disturbed and undisturbed soil samples and laboratory testing of the recovered samples.
• Excavation and logging of 5 trial pits to a maximum depth of 3 meters, disturbed (bulk) and undisturbed (block) soil sampling, laboratory testing of recovered samples.
• Preparation of a Factual and Interpretative Geotechnical Investigations Report.
